Filipinos who are to obtain their Philippine passport now has more option of requirement to show.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) will now accept the new postal ID released by the Philippine Postal Corp., (PHLPost) as valid ID.
PHLPost’s new postal ID, a wallet-sized PVC plastic card, replaces the old paper-based ID.
The new ID, which is more durable and presentable, encompasses security measures like fingerprint patterns and a quick response (QR) code on a magnetic stripe.
PHLPost thanked DFA for accepting the new postal ID as one of the government-accredited identification cards for those processing their Philippine passport application.
