Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao is ready to offer British boxer Amir Khan a big-money fight in Abu Dhabi, according to Bob Arum.
Pacquiao’s promoter wants to end the “farce” around Floyd Mayweather frequently rejecting a fight against Khan by putting him in a ring with Pacquiao.
Mayweather chose Andre Berto as his next opponent over Khan. According to many in the boxing circles, this is considered taking the easy option.
Arum says the Pacquiao-Khan match can happen in early 2016, with Abu Dhabi as the favorite host country.
Pacquiao is still recovering from the shoulder injury he had hidden during the May 2 fight against Mayweather. Mayweather won the fight on points.
The Mayweather-Berto match is set to happen on September 12 in Las Vegas, Nevada. A victory would improve Mayweather’s record to 49-0.
