Two condo units were bought by an OFW, Estelita Mamaril, in Victoria De Manila so she can have some place to stay when having a vacation in Manila from America. But 2 years after the full payment, she still wasn’t able to acquire the title of the two condo units she bought. She constantly checks for updates from the developer but to no avail, her plea was not properly addressed.
According to Estelita, she just wanted the developers to be honest and issue the title to her. She added that if something bad happens to her and the title is still not in her hands, no one can actually have the power to claim it or transfer to another person.
On the other hand, the Victoria de Manila has issued their official statement saying that they are already processing the papers to the BIR and that the papers will all be release on or before January 2016. They also asked for an apology regarding the delay.
The Land Registration Authority also spoke about the matter stating that the whole registration process can be done just for 10 days as long as you have all the important documents needed for the process.
In a separate statement from the House Land Use Regulatory Board, a total amount of P10,000 and a criminal case will be issued to the developer for delayed or non-issuance to the buyer in the designated time regarded in the contract
