Perfume businessman Joel Cruz released an explanation following accusations of discrimination against the two nannies of his second set of twins after a photograph of the twins’ christening showed the maids as the only ones wearing masks went viral.
Cruz sent a text message to ABS-CBN, saying Prince Harry and Prince Harvey have weaker immune systems because they were born in-vitro and were not breastfed. The pediatrician advised him that Cruz, the nurses, the nannies, and anyone who comes into close contact with the children to wear masks until they reach two years old.

He added the masks also protects the twins’ nannies from illnesses.
He also denied accusations of discrimination, saying he give his love, understanding, sensitivity and respect to all his employees.
Netizens were indignant after Julius Babao posted on Instagram the photos of the christening of Cruz’s twins. Only the nannies were wearing masks, leading some netizens to cry foul and accuse him of discrimination.
