HONG KONG – 34 year-old Filipina domestic helper allegedly stole luxury items from her employer after she couldn’t take control of herself upon seeing all the precious items.
Irene Canoneo Gomera stole a total amount of HK$50,000 worth of bras, t-shirts, umbrellas, socks, phone chargers and branded bags from her employer, co-founder of Sa Sa International Eleanor Kwok Kwai-chun.
Gomera was sentenced two months jail time after the court ruled guilty from the series of theft she committed in her employer’s home at Island Road.
Gomera admitted that she made the hideous crime after she couldn’t control herself from taking all those luxury items. She said that it was her first time seeing all those things.
She didn’t sell it, instead, she just stored the items inside her room.
The theft was discovered by her employer after checking her room.
Gomera is a single mom and have two kids in the Philippines taken-cared of by their grandparents.
