General Criminal Investigation Department officers arrested a Filipina for drug trafficking with 4,000 Tramadol pills, a quarter kilo of shabu and cash amounting to KD 2,000 or 300k pesos in her possession.
According to Arabtimes acting on information about the illegal activity of the suspect who works at a supermarket in Salmiya, the officers put her under surveillance and a secret agent was instructed to purchase narcotics from her.
The suspect was caught red-handed upon completion of the bogus transaction. Initial investigations revealed the suspect and her Egyptian husband, who is an inmate at the Central Prison, are involved in the illegal trade. A case was registered and the Filipina was referred to the relevant security department.
