Eman Bundoc is earning almost P100, 000 in Japan, working as an architect. But Eman returned home in the Philippines last 2005 after learning that his father had cancer. Then after a year, his mother also got sick as well their oldest sibling. The three of them unfortunately died due to cancer.
According to Eman, they always healthy foods but then the chemicals used in farming was one of the main reason why they acquired cancer.
After losing three of his family members, Eman continued their farming business but instead of using chemicals, he preferred natural farming. The soil that has been prone to chemicals for many years was thoroughly rehabilitated.
Together with other natural farmers, Eman was able to produce fertilizers without chemicals which includes Fermented Plant Juice (FPJ).
The materials used to make FPJ are banana trunks and molasses. The process is very simple. You just need to cut young banana trunks into small pieces and mix it with molasses, which is made out of sugar cane. Mix it well and cover with paper. It takes 7 days of fermentation. The FPJ is then mixed in water then spray to your farm.
Eman also gave instruction on how to make a simple process of lactic acid bacteria serum. It is used to decompose the farm waste on the land.
Mix together 1,000 ML carabao’s milk and 100 ML pure vinegar. After that, a reaction will take place.
Lactic Acid Bacteria Serium can also be used in animals. It is used by natural farmers as probiotic, for stronger immune system of animals. Simply mix it in the animal feeds or any of their food.
Because of natural farming, Eman noticed that his health is improving. According to him, he was 80 kilograms back then. He had trouble doing things a man his age usually do. But through proper diet and natural foods, he felt his body lighten and healthier.
Eman is also appealing for the help from the government and consumers. He advised that the government should have a trading post for natural farmers so people can distinguish that there are actually natural farmers producing chemical-free foods.
