The online world poured their mixed emotions on the news about the campaign rally of presidential candidates, Mar Roxas and Rodrigo Duterte in Hong Kong.
Different images started to circulate online. Most images suggests the overflowing support of OFWs in Hong Kong for Duterte. On the other hand, Mar Roxas who was also there to conduct same campaign rally was ignored by the people.
Mar Roxas previously said that he didn’t need the support of OFWs, his statement during the anomalies of bullet scam and “balikbayan boxes”.
But a recent photo started to circulate again. This time, it is about Mar talking to a woman in blue (Duterte’s color). Netizens poured allegation that the woman actually mocked Roxas for the very few people in his rally.
The woman in the viral photo of Mar Roxas was Marites Palma, OFW in Hong Kong.

She wanted to clear her name about the issue and stated that Roxas is actually listening very carefully in her complaints. They were talking about her experiences when she took her sick cousin to Hong Kong to attend to her condition. According to Palma, she was also able to complain about the wide spread money extortion in the Philippines especially in airport. Roxas is listening to her attentively when the picture was taken.
Palma was angered about the wrong news which is being circulated online. She wanted to correct everything so she posted her explanation on her Facebook account.
