After their honeymoon in Boracay, bitter memories will remain in the thoughts of the couple after being victimized by the bullet scam.
The couple were detained after 14 bullets of Caliber 24 were retrieved in the sling bag of Jerome last Thursday in Caticlan Airport. The couple pursued that they are actually victims of bullet scam.
Jerome Sulit, alleged victim of bullet scam, said that he doesn’t even own a gun. Rochelle Sulit, wife of Jerome said that it is very impossible for them to bring bullets on their honeymoon.
Public Attorney’s Office Persida Acosta got really mad that the bullet scam is still going on in different areas of the country. According to her, the tourism in the country is mostly affected in this illegal activity.
Some airport personnel allegedly said that P80,000 should be paid for the release of the couple.
Rochelle is now having a hard time because the money they spent for the bail of her husband was borrowed in the company she’s currently working.
The Public Attorney’s Office will file a motion for reinvestigation and suspension of arraignment over the case of Mr. Sulit.
