Starting July 18, regular taxis are allowed to load passengers in Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
A constant traveller poured his dismay against the previous regulation at NAIA wherein only registered airport taxis were allowed to load passengers in NAIA. According to him, the long queue is already a huge hassle plus the charge of airport taxis are really high.
The good news is, regular taxis are now allowed in NAIA which is definitely very helpful to regular passengers.
Regular-metered taxi drivers felt really happy regarding the new regulation which is now implemented in all airports in the Philippines.
If there are happy passengers, there are also individuals which were dismayed because of security reasons. This is because, regular-metered taxi were not accredited and were poured by a lot of complaints before.
To answer this concern, General Manager of MIAA Eddie Monreal said that they are recording the plate number of each taxi that goes inside the airport. There’s also a coupon that’s given to each passenger containing some important information about the taxi they will ride.
On the other hand, some accredited airport taxi drivers accepted the decision of MIAA and accepted that their units can’t get back easily at the airport, resulting to long queue of passengers. He added that traffic is an added burden. They are hoping that the present administration could resolve the issue which was dealt by Filipino people for so many years.
