Good News! To all Filipinos looking for a job abroad, Qatar is offering 77,000 working visas allocation for eligible individuals from the Philippines, said Minister of Administrative Development in Qatar Dr.IssaSaad Al-Jafali Al-Nuaimi. Qatar is open to the fields of oil, gas and hospitality sectors.
Wilfredo Santos, Ambassador of the Philippine Embassy in Qatar said that Filipino workers are welcome in Qatar because their government has recognized the contributions of every Filipino worker to the growth and development of their economy.
Labour Attache in Qatar, David Des Dicang, added that Qatar is in need of more workers in preparation for the upcoming FIFA World Cup this 2022.
Thousands of workers from Saudi Arabia who lost their jobs can also benefit from this job opportunity. POEA are assigned to make announcements of available jobs in Qatar for the fast dissemination of information.
Because of the huge number of working visa allocation, the office of the Philippine Embassy and POLO are still processing the working visa before it can get translated into jobs. Both these two government agencies admits that there are number of Filipinos in Qatar which are having labor problems similar to those countries in the Middle East. But they have promised to solve all the issues accordingly.
Moreover, POLO reminds every Filipino wanting to work abroad to be extra careful of illegal recruiters and agents who are not connected to licensed agencies.
Currently, there are more or less, 200,000 Filipino workers in Qatar and the number is expected to grow in the coming months.
