Five Filipinos were taken into custody in Thailand before they could board their flight at Don Mueang airport after police sound a stolen diamond necklace in their luggage.
According to a report on Bangkok Post stated that the Filipinos were believed to have worked as a gang to steal the necklace worth THB300,000 (PHP411,810) at the Bangkok Gems and Jewellery Fair in Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi.
Poramin Thaharian, the owner of the stolen necklace, contacted police after he noticed the necklace was missing from its display cabinet around 6:00p.m. on September 7.

Footage from the CCTV showed Ebueza Carpio and Canoy Carpio taking the necklace from the booth around 2:00p.m., when Thaharian was not looking.
Police were able to forward the footage to officials at Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airport to catch the suspects before they could embark their flight to Phuket, where they could take a connecting flight to Manila.
The Filipinos arrested with the Carpios were identified as Bien Mulobuko, Chapoco Velarde, and Sofia Mallari.
The group entered Thailand on September 5 and were booked to leave on September 12.
