HONG KONG – Woman from Manila, Philippines caught carrying $3.9 million worth of alleged Cocaine, customs officers declared.
A statement was released by the Hong Kong Government claiming that they were able to seize a total of 3.33 kilograms of cocaine from a Filipina at the Hong Kong International Airport.
The 30 year old Filipina allegedly arrived at HK from Philippines last night. 37 Hair care products was found in her baggage during the customs clearance and after thorough examination, it turned out to be suspected cocaine about 3.33 kg.
The woman said that she is a hairstylist, was then charged with dangerous drug trafficking which falls as a serious offence in HK with a max penalty of life imprisonment plus a fine of $5 million.
Manila authorities are looking into loop holes as to why the woman was allowed to get through the security in the Ninoy Aquino International Airport despite carrying $750, 000 worth of illegal drugs.
