Babies are more prone to all types of abuse mainly because of their innocence. Just like this three-month old baby who was left in the hands of a Good Samaritan.
Myrna Pasacao Buenaobra went to Ninoy Aquino International Airport to meet her friend but as ends up carrying a baby when she goes home.
Last November 25, Buenaobra who is an OFW met with a certain Vilma Lastima, another OFW who came from Jordan. She was with her 3-month old baby, Ashan, and were both from Amman. Both got accustomed to each other and they started having conversation. Lastima said that she had no place to stay in Manila since her hometown is Davao City. Buenaobra offered a temporary shelter to the other OFW mainly because of her concern towards the baby.
The baby’s mom accepted the offer. But as time passed by, Lastima left the baby to Buenaobra for a small errand and promised to come back after 30 minutes. For the assurance of her return, Lastima left her passport and travel documents of her baby just before she left. But just like Buenaobra’s first thought, the mother didn’t came back.
As hours went on, no Lastima was seen and Buenaobra reported the matter to the Airport Police Department (APD). They found out that the documents were legit and Lastima was indeed from Maco, Davao del Norte.
