Good News! Overseas Filipino Workers in Kuwait who had to suffer delayed wages will soon receive their hard-earned money, according to the Department of Labor and Employment. More than 100 OFWs will get benefitted as the company settles their obligations.
Futhermore, DOLE will still provide all the necessary aid to the other 847 OFWs through repatriation. Out of 847 worker, 773 of them are laborers while 74 are supervisors, engineers and those working in administrative positions.
Affected OFWs will receive their delayed 2 to 4 months’ salary after a recent talk between Philippine Overseas Labor Office Labor Attache Angelita Narvaes and representatives from Kharafi National KSC.

Narvaes also reported that the said Kuwaiti company has allowed its workers to work in another company, resign or return to their home country.
Just last August, a disqualification order issued by Philippine Overseas Employment Administration to Kharafi National KSC because of the issues regarding unpaid worker’s salary.
According to ABS-CBN countries including Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Jeddah and Al Khobar were also suffering from the recent lowering of oil prices especially in Middle East countries.
