After experiencing too much trauma and abuse, a Filipina Overseas Worker was admitted to a mental hospital upon her arrival to the Philippines from Kuwait.
In an interview conducted on Hans Leo Cacdac of Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, the OFW was determined as distressed worker because of the abuse she suffered while working abroad. Cacdac reportedly visited the said OFW at the National Mental Hospital last Friday. It is expected that the government will provide livelihood assistance as well as disability and medical assistance.

The story of the abused OFW first surfaced online. She was caught in a video, unable to talk to fellow passengers and physical abuse was visible on her body.
The OFWs case will soon be referred to the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) and Department of Foreign Affairs for the filing of case.
