Sending your loved ones to another country is already a saddening moment. More than that, this woman experienced something disastrous as she went with her OFW husband to the airport.
Jema Amoroso did not thought that the hard-earned money of her husband will all go to the hands of a taxi driver, Daniel Sallan.
According to Amoroso, they were about to go home so they rode a taxi. The taxi driver then asked who they sent off in the airport. Amoroso answered stating that it was her husband but the accused instantly asked if he left money for them.
After that conversation, Sallan got the money of Amoroso amounting to P10,000. Fearing their lives, she gave the money.
Luckily, she remembered the plate number of the taxi which was TYS197. They immediately went to report the incident to the nearest police station.
Sallan denied all allegations yet she was identified by his victims. There were also messages in the suspect’s mobile hinting that he is a drug addict.
Law enforcers impounded the vehicle of Sallan and he is now facing charges of resistance and disobedience to a person in authority and robbery with violence.
