GOOD NEWS! No more terminal fees for OFWs starting April 30, Ninoy Aquino International Airport said last Tuesday.
Previously, NAIA management charges P550 added to the airline tickets bought by OFWs. It was later announced that the amount can get refunded but they need to fall in long queues to get the refund, making it totally stressful especially to those having hectic schedule.
Airline companies will have to sign a memorandum of agreement to totally diminish the terminal fee, according to Ed Montreal of Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA).
The fees were supposedly deducted since March but they have encountered several issues. Starting April 30, OFWs can now purchase airline tickets minus the terminal fee.
