Planning to work abroad? Agencies and recruiters can help you out! Just make sure you are not interacting with illegal recruiter or you will suffer by the time you step foot abroad or consequence of losing your hard-earned money.
Here are some indications of an Illegal Recruiter:
- They are immediately asking for payment without the issuance of any receipt.
- They promise you immediate departure from the country.
- They demand for a medical examination or trainings even without the presence of a contract or employer.
- They make transactions in public places such as restaurant, malls and not in their office.
- They do house-to-house recruitment of applicants.
- They do not give appropriate information regarding the work you are applying.
- They tell you that you are under a direct employer and going through POEA is not necessary.
- They use tourist or visit visa as a way of sending applicants abroad.
- They cannot possess an employment contract or working visa at the very least.
- Presenting themselves as employees of a reputable recruitment agency but do not have an ID.
- Obliges an applicant to recruit another one so they can depart from the country sooner.
- They cannot give basic information such as their real name and address.
- They promise to give the applicant’s documents to POEA for the processing.
