Filipina caregiver in Hong Kong was declared missing after going to Berkeley, California with her 80-year old employer last May 13.
According to reports, the live-in caregiver identified only as Virgie Baliton went to US with her Chinese employer who wants to witness the graduation of her granddaughter at the University of California in Berkeley.
It is said that Baliton went to Café Strada, together with her employer’s family she asked permission to go to the restroom.
She came back after some time, saying that the restaurant’s restroom is not available. She then went out to look for a restroom outside Café Strada.
Since then, Baliton was nowhere to be found.
Family of her employer is asking for help through social media so they can locate her as soon as possible. They are ultimately worried because Baliton is not familiar in US as she only lived in the Philippines before working in Hong Kong.
For further information regarding her current location, you can get in-touch with UC Berkeley Police Department through their telephone number (510) 642-6760.
