Be careful who you trust and to whom you do a favor for! This innocent OFW was close to getting herself in danger finds luck in discovering there was something in the snacks that two men asked her to bring that might have caused her to be put behind bars.
An Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) who was about to leave the country to work in the Middle East was close to becoming a ‘drug mule’ by a drug syndicate in Bulacan.
In a news aired last Friday via SAKSI, a GMA News Program, two men were arrested by policemen in an entrapment operation who were allegedly members of a drug syndicate operating in Guiguinto, Bulacan. The two men were identified as Alex Bamba and a certain Patricio, both residents of Moncada, Tarlac.
The two were sought for after being complained by an OFW at Malolos Police Station after discovering that the snacks which the men asked her to bring contain illegal drugs. The men however insisted and denied the accusations.
After the investigations, Superintendent Heryl Bruno, Chief of Malolos Police Station concluded that the men belong to a big drug syndicate based in Tarlac.
The OFW has saved herself from a big mess in discovering this kind of drug syndicate’s tactic. Imagining what she has to go through when being found out to be possessing the snacks with illegal drugs in it, I’m quite sure she’ll have the worst nightmare ever. She’s smart indeed!
