OFWs leave the country to work abroad for one primary reason: to earn sufficient amount of money and have a comfortable life in the Philippines with their family and loved-ones. However, not all OFWs are lucky enough to land on a greener pasture. Some of them fell on the hands of abusive employers and then later on went back to the country with no savings at all or at worse, with debts that they still need to pay.
A Facebook page Buhay ng Dating OFW shared a story of a certain Neth who was previously working as an OFW in Bahrain. According to Neth, she worked in Bahrain for 11 years as a domestic helper. She then went back to the country on June 26 and decided to stay for good.
As the family’s source of income, Neth had a sari-sari store where they get their budget for their daily expenses. Unfortunately, she got separated from her husband so she solely raised their four children.
Neth said she chose not to leave the country anymore so she can look after 4 children who two among them were in college level and the other two in high school.

Ako ay dating OFW, 11 yrs akong nagtrabaho as domestic worker.
