Recently, the chairman of CITC (Communications and Information Technology Commission) announced thru SPA (Saudi Press Agency) that service providers and the CITC were on their way to enabling voice calling and video calling over the internet to all citizens including the expatriates.
The Telecom service providers confirmed that they were prepared to meet the requirements of the customers after they’ve filed complaints on the banning of applications such as Whatsapp, Skype, Viber and Messenger among others in a statement issued in a Saudi newspaper.
The chairman of CITC expressed thanks to the service providers for their strong determination to provide best services to its customers to meet worldwide trends In the field of information technology for what they believe is the next step for “Transparency and Clarity” in telecommunications.
Best efforts of the ministry and the service providers are yearning towards National Transformation Program for the year 2020 as they develop a digital society as fulfilment of the Kingdom’s vision by 2030.-via Saudi Expatriates
