Rhea Donna Bayona Boyce, managing director of PEYA was finally caught. She was then taken to the PEYA Office situated in World-Wide Building in Central, where authorities confiscated important documents which will be used against her.
After the raid, the police took her and brought her to the police car waiting just outside the Connaught Road, Central.
According to the Hong Kong Police Press released, they have received countless reports by foreign women complaining about their purchased tickets. It was later found out that the tickets were not paid and the customers were deceived. There are about 645 victims in this fraudulent activity, involving HK $2 million.
The press release also quoted the report made by a 67-year-old man whose company didn’t receive the flight ticket fees amounting to HK$3 million.
The Police District Crime Division is the one handling the case. They arrested the owner of the travel company, a 38-year-old Filipina, on Christmas day in her unit at Wan Chai Road, Wan Chai, over fraud charges.
The Filipina is detained for investigation but was released after paying the bail.
