It is not always that OFWs suffer maltreatment from their foreign employers, especially domestic workers. Some are lucky enough to find a kind-hearted and generous employer that would embrace you wholeheartedly in their household.
Same goes for this woman who worked as a housemaid in Saudi Arabia for 33 years. Throughout those years, she only worked for one family.
At first, she was tasked to take care of the employer’s children. However, as their family grew big, the Filipina housemaid remained dedicated on the family and even took care of the grandchildren.

Just when she was about to leave the country for good and be with her loved ones in the Philippines, tears fell as they escort their nanny into the airport.

One by one, her wards went to their nanny and gave her a warm hug, with tears pouring in their cheeks.

There is no certainty when you work abroad. You can’t be sure that you’ll land the same employer as this woman. However, the good thing about going abroad is the fact that you’ve tried to push harder for the sake of your family. You’ll be willing to take the risk for the ‘greener pasture’ that working abroad has to offer. Who knows, God might lead you to kind-hearted employers.
Proud OFW .
