In an interview with DZMM on Monday, DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello III claimed it will form part of the new government guidelines for workers abroad.
He added that the training centers should likewise be certified by TESDA (Technical Educational and Skills Development Authority).

Meanwhile, after the bilateral agreement had been signed between the Philippines and Kuwait, the Department of Labor and Employment is eyeing on revisiting other agreements using it as a template. Thus, the agreement is not only exclusive to Kuwait.
“Yung plano nga namin eh i-revisit lahat nung existing na bilateral agreements. Gagawin nating template itong agreement [sa Kuwait] na kababago lang napirmahan.”
After negotiations and the bilateral agreement, the total deployment ban on deploying workers by the Philippines to Kuwait had been lifted last week.
