MACAU – On May 17, a Filipino maid was arrested in Macau after illegally filming a boy while he was taking a bath. She was arrested over infringement of privacy charges.
The 46-year-old maid was employed by her employer since 2016. Her malicious activities got busted after the light boy, 7-year-old, saw that the maid took photos of him as he was taking a bath. She allegedly video-called a friend and continually filmed the boy.
The boy immediately notified his mother regarding the incident and his mother took necessary actions to discipline their maid. The mother found naked photos of her son in the mobile phone of the Filipina maid then she called the police. Police came and the maid was questioned. She denied filming the boy yet admitted taking nude photos of him.
According to her, the boy was naughty and wanted to threaten him to be a good boy that’s why she filmed him naked.
The Filipina was brought to the public prosecution office.
In a similar incident, an Indonesian national was also put up in jail after filming three children while they are taking their bath on April.
The incident should serve as a lesson to other OFWs in Macau and other parts of the world to never film the children of their employers to avoid facing jail term or deportation.
