Japan needs professional housekeepers with a monthly salary ranging from P40,000-P55,000.00.
In GMA News Report via “24 Oras” on Monday, POEA (Philippine Overseas Employment Administration) Administrator, Jocelyn Sanchez shared that Overseas Filipino workers are encouraged to apply as housekeepers in Japan considering their dedication to work and being hardworking.
“Ito ‘yung alternative market natin na, what I’m saying, ‘yung mga domestic helpers natin na gustong-gusto doon sa Middle East, of course mas gusto nila dito.”

Ritsuko Ito, senior manager of Nichii Gakkan Co. Ltd., also noted Filipinos for their exceptional motivation to work.
According to Magsaysay Global, a recruitment agency, the fact that the workers are considered professional, they are obliged to work 8 hours each day only and every hour in excess thereof will be subject for overtime pay. They are also not required to live with their employers.
However, the applicants should undergo a 2-month training to learn Japan’s language and culture so they can easily adapt to the said country, with their norms and way of life. They will also learn how to prepare Japanese food and familiarize themselves with living in typical Japanese homes.
President of Magsaysay Center for Hospital and Culinary Arts, Paulo Guevara claimed, “It’s also important that they understand the culture of the Japanese people so that they can assimilate with the day to day life.”
Previous workers in the Middle East are also encouraged to apply.
