A Filipina domestic helper in Kuwait is seeking help through her social media account because she wants to go home. The OFW is allegedly experiencing maltreatment from her employers.
A certain Maychel Savidal posted photos of herself on her Facebook account showing bruises in her legs and several parts of her body.
According to Savidal, her employer slapped her in the face and was beaten using a chair.
Now, she is pleading for help because she wants to escape from her current situation. She is hoping that her post will reach more people and eventually government officials who are capable of helping her.
Netizens showed their concerns regarding the distressed OFW.
“Sana Po lahat ng ofw na umaalis ng bansa my number Po kayo ng embahada ng pinas kung san man Po kayo na lugar mapunta para makuha Po kayo kaagad or mapuntahan ng mga Taga embahada,” says Facebook user JenalynTalahuronTeraoka.
“Tumawag ka embassy taz polo owwa jan taz takbo kahihintayin ka nian nlalabas kc dmi ng tumakbo pmunta embassy taz uwi agad,” Watashe ShielakawaiiOglatidTorion said.
Just recently, the Philippine government lifted the deployment ban on sending Filipino domestic helpers to Kuwait.
