Taiwan-based company New Kinpo Group seeks to employ Filipino workers for their electronic parts factories as it is expected to reach revenues up to $1 billion in 2020.
The company is one of the largest calculator factories in the world will hire 8,000 Filipino workers which includes 1,000 engineers.
The factory, which is located town north from the capital, has the capacity to produce a minimum of 35 million up to 55 million calculators every ear. Additionally, the company might also make smartphone parts.
The company’s clients include Texas Instruments, Casio and electronics giant Xiaomi where they have produces parts of several smartphones, rice cookers,and air purifiers.

“We expect to double revenues. We need more people to join us. Filipino workers are very skilled,” says Simon Shen, CEO of NKG.
He also added that they mostly prefer Filipino workers because of their English proficiency as well as their strong sense of teamwork.
“The Philippines is a very good site for us,” he said.
Shen also thinks that the Philippines is “very competitive” when it comes to attracting foreign investments.
Filipinos are considered as a third largest population of migrant workers in Taiwan that are mostly working in the manufacturing sector and caregiving as well.
