Job opportunities for Filipina nurses open up in Saudi Arabia under a government-to-government program, as announced by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).
According to the statement of POEA Administrator Bernard Olalia, the Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia is looking for 1,000 female specialist nurses who are capable of rendering their hands to patients in a neonatal intensive care unit, nursery, coronary care unit, emergency room, intensive care unit, obstetrics and gynecology, and surgical wards.
Applicants are required to have a bachelor’s degree in nursing but even those who do not yet board passers can apply. They also need to have a minimum of two years of experience in their field.
Those who will get hired will be paid a salary of SR4,100 (PhP58,302). They will also receive free accommodation, food and paid annual leave.
Interested applicants can go to the official website of POEA at www.poea.gov.ph or www.eregisterpoea.gov.ph. Otherwise, applicants can submit their documents personally at the Manpower Registry Division, Window S or T, Blas F. Bldg, (formerly POEA Bldg.) Ortigas Ave. corner EDSA, Mandaluyong City.
In relation to the job development, Department of Labor and Employment’s PhilJobNet, an internet-based job and applicant matching system, was able to detect about 17,000 more vacancies. Those in demand includes production machine operators, call center agents, machine operators, domestic helpers, cashiers, customer service assistants, and salesmen.
