Filipinos who want to go to the United Arab Emirates can finally secure a flight as Emirates Airlines opens a one-way flight going to Dubai this week.
According to a statement released by Emirates Airlines, the initial flight will leave Manila on Saturday, May 30, at around 11:55 pm. More flights subject to approval will be available starting June 1.
Before securing this flight, individuals must first meet the requirements mandated by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Cooperation before they will be given an entry permit.
Applicants can get their approvals online. Once approved, you can now book your tickets at the emirates.com, thru travel agents or you can also send an email at [email protected].
“Only passengers holding a UAE residence permit in addition to an entry permit from the UAE authorities will be allowed to board,” says Emirates.
Upon arrival, passengers will undergo a mandatory DHA test, a 14-day mandatory quarantine to be shouldered by the passengers, and a follow-up test before they are allowed to be released.
There will be no cabin baggage allowed on the flight and carry-on items will only be your handbag, laptop, baby items, or briefcase. All other items except the previously mentioned ones need to be checked-in.
Social distancing will also be strictly required and passengers need to arrive at the airport four hours before their flight.
