The news first broke out stating that there are about 16 Filipino workers detained inside a fenced room in the Philippine Embassy in Lebanon. It is said that these OFWs suffered from mistreatment.
There is also information stating that the remains of Banares were transferred to the hospital with blood all over her. The Heart Hospital of Yassou, where the Filipina was taken will release their statement on Monday, together with the cause of her expiration. This will determine if Banares actually took her own life or other reasons.
Condolences to the family of the Filipina. If there is actual foul play involved in her death, Jenalyn Borbor Banares definitely needs justice.
