Another group of OFWs was caught scavenging food from the trash to beat hunger.
In a video that was posted online, Filipino men can be seen looking for food that was thrown to the trash to sustain their hunger.
According to the post, these OFWs were from Exit 18, Istraha, Riyadh Saudi Arabia. They are appealing for help as they already want to return to the Philippines. Their contract was already finished but they cannot easily find another employer due to the pandemic.

They lost their jobs three months ago since the lockdown started. They are under a “No Work No Pay” scheme and these OFWs are having a hard time filling their hungry stomach. Even the food allowance which was supposed to be given to them was delayed. They decided to scavenge food so they won’t starve.
“Kaya kami poh namumulot sa basurahan na maaari naming pwedeng makain sa pang araw araw naming pangangailang para kami ay makaraos. Help us God,” says the OFW in the post.
The companies of these OFWs were Aero Allied Agency, Team Time Company, and Alumatec Company.
Netizens couldn’t help but feel pity for the distressed OFWs.
“My heart bleeds for you my kababayan. Laban lang tayo and pray nang makaraos. God bless us all,” says one netizen.
