“Hindi ako sanay” – these were the words of an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) who recently returned to the Philippines.
In a lengthy post on social media, she mentioned how grateful she is to the Philippine government for providing her with her basic needs and even more, in the midst of the pandemic.
She started by saying that she is mad at President Duterte for treating her like a VIP. The OFW claims that she returned to Mindanao without spending anything.
Contrary to the emoticons and the words that OFW Tanya Arlyn chose to say, she actually has a grateful heart towards President Duterte and his administration.
According to her, when she arrived in NAIA, she was greeted with doctors, nurses, the Philippine Coast Guard, and personnel from Red Cross ready to assist her needs. What’s more, there’s free Wi-Fi in the airport, fast and stable connection on top of that.
Tanya also said that even her accommodation in a premium hotel is free. She is supposed to stay there for quarantine but she never thought that everything will be free of charge and she will actually be treated as VIP.
Her swab test was also released after 12 hours and again, free of charge. Until she arrived in Mindanao, Tanya didn’t spend anything. “Hindi ako sanay” – these are the words of the OFW. Food and drinks were also provided during her trip to her hometown.
She also sent a reminder to OFWs flying back to the Philippines to secure their QR code before their flight.
