Every Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) has their own dreams that they want to fulfill for themselves and for their families back in the Philippines. And one of the most common dreams of OFWs is to build their own house.
When Sally Niesalie Asuncion Viernes fulfilled her dreams of building her own house, she couldn’t be happier. But her happiness didn’t last long after seeing her hard-earned investment was destroyed.
Unfortunately, her house was among the ones who got destructed when a land in Barangay Yeban Norte, Benito Soliven, Isabela opened up. There was also a small landslide after the neighboring land suffered the same incident.
What’s more devastating was the fact that the said house was not yet personally seen by Viernes, or lived in it before it was destroyed.
The OFW admitted that it is hard to cope up with such a tragic incident. But then, she was thankful that none of her loved ones was hurt from the incident.
According to Viernes, aside from being an OFW, she is also an online seller just so she can earn more and build her dream house.
Her employment contract was about the end but Viernes decided to extend it because of the incident.
Some devastating photos of their home were shared by Viernes on her Facebook account alongside a lengthy post.
