One of the most anticipated days of every Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) is to return to their hometowns and finally be with their families once again. But this OFW chose to level up her homecoming by surprising her family and pretended to be a customer at their own litsunan.
OFW Giovanni “Gio” Canoog covered his face when he was talking with his mother as the latter took his order. Eventually, his mother known only as Maria asked the name of the customer. And upon hearing the name of his son, she couldn’t help but be happy and gave him a tight hug.
According to Gio, he decided not to communicate with his family for 15 days before his return to their home. Because of this, his mother got really worried. It is also said that Maria kept on asking her son, who is an OFW in Japan to return home.
Gio also pulled the same surprise to his father Guillermo and he couldn’t be any happier. According to Guillermo, he was waiting for his son, disguised as the customer to pick a Lechon when the customer turned out to be his son whom he misses so much.
According to Gio, he really wanted to show how much he loves his parents.
“I want to show inspiration to each one that as long as there are still parents who love us, let’s hug and show them how much we love them as much as we can,” says Gio.
