Most of the time, when an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) arrives in the Philippines, they mostly give ‘pasalubong’ or surprises for their loved ones. However, this OFW had the surprise of her life when her husband managed to save P300,000 out of the remittance that she sends them.
According to GMA News, Rodelyn went to work abroad to help sustain the financial needs of her family in the Philippines. However, her husband saw the sacrifices of his wife and decided to save the remittance of his wife.
Instead of spending the remittance money sent to him, Rogelio chose to save it, and sometimes, he even adds more of it for their savings.
When Rodelyn arrived home from Kuwait, she was surprised to see buckets of paper bills and coins.
Because of their savings, they managed to fix their house, bought a sidecar and motorcycle.
The couple also felt proud because they were able to teach their children the importance of saving for their future needs.
