An Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) in Taiwan who works as a factory worker had an operation in a hospital in Hsinchu to remove a cyst on her ovary through laser laparoscopy.
However, the supposed minor surgery turned out to be more complicated than almost claimed her life.
Because Noemi thinks that something went wrong from her previous operation, she is hoping that someone can help her obtain justice.
Noemi already asked for the help of MECO Taipei last September. They visited Noemi in her dormitory and asked for her statement. MECO, on the other hand, promised to provide free legal help to Noemi in case she pursues a case against the doctor who operated on her.
Noemi is also thankful to her company because they allowed her to stay in the dormitory even though she still cannot work and don’t have a salary. They will also help Noemi to get the benefits that she deserves from the Labor Insurance.
