A housekeeper in Las Vegas was found unresponsive inside a hotel. She was taken to the hospital but was later pronounced dead. The woman is of Filipino descent.
Basilisa Tagget-Smith, 61 years old and working as a housekeeper was found lifeless inside one of the rooms at Bally’s Hotel. There was a found play in the initial investigation conducted by police authorities.
However, after a few days, the son of the Filipina confirmed that the police made and clarity and ruled the passing of her mother to be a natural death.
“Hindi siya pinatay ng ibang kriminal. Nagstroke lang sya sa pinagtatrabahuan niya. Natumba, nabagok ang ulo nya. Nagkabukol. May dugo doon sa pader na natumbahan nya,” says Lemuel Tagget, the son of the Filipina.
According to reports, the Filipina worked at the Bally’s for more than 3 decades after immigrating in 1987 from Bohol, Philippines. The passing of Basilisa is considered as the second tragic loss of the family as she also lost a son named Reggie after the latter got involved in a murder-suicide incident that took place at the Wynn Resort parking lot last March. It is said that a 42-year-old man took the life of a security guard before taking his own life.
Moreover, some funeral arrangements are already being made by the family of the deceased.
