Netflix has been taking the world by storm. Different films and series, all in one place. However, in Kuwait, there is an ongoing lawsuit that was filed to block Netflix in the country.
According to reports, the High Court recently received a lawsuit addressed to the Ministry of Communication that demands the blocking of the said streaming app in Kuwait.
Lawyer Abdulaziz Al Subaie said that the recent Arab film on Netflix showed immoral scenes, provoking the anger of the public. The said scenes greatly affected the Arab family, as it tried to change the instinct which is highly forbidden.
Furthermore, a huge number of youngsters and adolescents are greatly attracted to Netflix, something that clearly violated the teachings of Islam.
Netflix is an American subscription-based streaming service that showcases a library of films and television series. They also produced their own original movies and named them Netflix Originals.
By December 2021, there are currently 221.8 million Netflix subscribers all over the world. This includes 75.2 million in the U.S. and Canada, 39.9 million in Latin America, 32.7 million in the Asia Pacific, and 74.0 million in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
