Vice-President-elect Sara Duterte-Carpio served as the guardian of a student in one of the schools in San Carlos City, Pangasinan.
VP Duterte attended the moving-up ceremony of Angel Mae Tayaba which was held last Friday, May 27.
According to Duterte, Tayaba was with her during the campaign period in Pangasinan. It was then that Tayaba had the chance to give a letter to Duterte to invite her to the moving up ceremony since her mother is an OFW and couldn’t attend.

VP Duterte was also the one who gave her the medal since she is part of the honor roll.
“Sa ating mga graduates, ang tagumpay ay laging sariling sikap natin. Congratulations sa inyo lahat!” says, the Vice President during the moving up ceremony.
Sara Duterte-Carpio was proclaimed the winner of the 2022 vice presidential race last May 25. She is the first vice president that originated from the Davao region and the third one from Mindanao after Emmanuel Pelaez and Teofisto Guingona. She was tasked to become the secretary of the Department of Education.
