A Filipina in the United Arab Emirates passed away after getting into a road accident. Her family in the Philippines whom she hasn’t seen for 10 years asked for assistance with the repatriation of her remains.
The OFW was identified as Gina Sorianosos, 48 years old from Brgy. Pulang Lupa, M’lang, North Cotabato.
According to reports, the OFW was hit by a car in Dubai Hills, United Arab Emirates. It is known that at first, it was difficult to process the papers and documents of the OFW because of the change in his employer which resulted in his Visa being Tourist only.
Right now, it seems that the family is still having a hard time accepting the incident because they are still doubting that there might be foul play in the accident.
But the investigation revealed that the said OFW was crossing a pedestrian lane when he was suddenly hit by a car driven by a Palestinian.
The person who crashed promised that they are ready to offer help so that Gina’s dead body can return to the Philippines.
The family of the OFW is coordinating with OWWA for the immediate repatriation of the remains of the OFW. Gov. Lal Talino also extended help to the family of the deceased OFW.
Meanwhile, the daughter of the OFW wrote a heartfelt message to her mother whom she misses so much.
“Ma, almost 10 years namin kayong hindi nakasama dahil sa gusto nyong makatapos kami sa pag-aaral. Ma maraming salamat sa lahat-lahat. I miss you so much, Ma. I love you. ❤ Hindi ko matatanggap itong nangyari sa yo, ma, hindi talaga.”
Condolence to the family and rest in peace, Gina.
