OFWs in Hong Kong were saddened after hearing the news that fellow OFW Mary Grace Perater passed away, without even seeing her family in the Philippines.
In a Facebook post, Lindy Paclibar, leader of OFW organizations in HK, shared the news about the passing of Perater last May 5.
In the post, she mentioned how hard it is to live as an OFW, just to give a better life to their families in the Philippines.
The Story
Mary Grace Perater, 30 years old, is a native of Alubijid, Misamis Oriental. She was first taken to the Tsuen Mun Hospital last April 1 because of chronic heart disease. She had to undergo an operation and stayed in the ICU since then.
On April 17, Mary Grace was transferred to the Prince of Wales because of her worsening condition. She had to undergo another operation. Unfortunately, the OFW passed away.
“Hindi po madali ang buhay naming dito sa abroad. Sa likod ng masasayang ngiti sa larawan, o mararangyang hitsura naming sa social media, ay may mga problema, lungkot, lumbay, pagod at sakit na dinaramdam,” says Paclibar.
Condolence to the family of the OFW.
