The police confirmed reports that a Filipina housekeeper, who was known as bubbly and comely to her friends in Hong Kong, was found dead Saturday night inside the washroom at her employer’s flat, 97 Tsuen King Circuit in Tsuen-Wan. It appears to be a ѕυιςι∂ε.
According to a police spokesperson, the 27-year old Filipina was discovered hanging with a belt of leather around her neck.
Her employer called police to report the incident at 9:57pm, and emergency personnel confirmed her ∂εɑтн at the scene.
A number of friends of the victim who identified her as R.D.A. a single mother with two children from Luna, La Union expressed shock at her ∂εɑтн.
They described her as a fun-loving person, and gave little reason for people to be concerned about her well-being. Her Facebook page shows that she loves to do photo shoots in ѕεху clothes and looking very glamourous.
One friend said this is why Filipinos living in Hong Kong need to be more sensitive towards each other’s moods and feelings, because they don’t always know when their counterparts are at a low.
Another friend, however, posted that she had a long chat with R.D.A. The victim and R.D.A. had a long conversation the Sunday before, during which she told her about her troubles. This friend said that she wished this young mother had confided more in her instead of taking her life.
According to police, there was no suicide note found at the scene. However, their initial investigation revealed that the Filipina suffered from relationship problems.
The case is classified as a “∂εɑ∂ corpse found” and an autopsy will determine the exact cause of ∂εɑтн.
This is the second apparent suicide of a Filipina housekeeper in less than one month. On March 18, a Filipina also in Tsuen-Wan, hung herself with a scarf in the bathroom of her employer’s apartment in Allway Gardens.
On March 27, another Filipina ingested bleach in Wan Chai, in what was thought to be a suicide attempt. She was rushed into hospital in a semiconscious state. Her current condition is unknown.
